OK experts, I tried the Ellison happy birthday embossing doo dah in my bug and it comes out, but not as well as the bug ones, any tips? I'm using a rubber mat. Is it never going to be as good, so just brush a bit of ink on it?

patty , have you read the paperwork that came with your order ,as some folks on uks are saying that their orders are not complete and they have to ring ellison to arrange a refund on items that are sold out .
they have come to the conclusion that you have to ring them and it does not get done automatically because they might have another item in stock in place of the previous one and then you can get it in place of the sold out item and not pay extra postage

Yes thanks Kim, I have used them before for alphabets so know the score fairly well. I ranted at them yesterday because it had got RoundABout still on the site!! She said it was an error. Maria didn't want a substitute, so they gave me a full refund straight back on to my card.

THanks KIm for that info. I have just realised I had 2x 98p dies missing. THey weren't on the paperwork and I had forgotten about them until I read this thread again. I ordered buttons but did not get it. Did you get yours?

I will ring tomorrow about a refund then. Quite naughty that really!

I haven't got any embossing ones, Karelyn but my dies didn't cut as well as I thought they would. I cut a bit of funky foam I found and tried that under the die. It worked but was a little thick so then I tried just a bit of thick cardstock under the die and that worked a treat. Even the tiny bits came out no problem.

jo yes i got my " buttons"i think its a tad naughty too , but then again if it will save a second lot of postage if you can choose something else , then i suppose its a good system , you just have to know it , then make sure you check your order off

i have tried my alphas in CB last night and it did not cut very crisply , so i put a couple of envelopes under t and it cut well . the instructions in the book say to use plates ab and c , but i could not even get that through the CB so i used a b and b , with a bit of wadding and it cut well

I think from my own experience that an A and two Bs works best of all. Also, running a bit of kitchen foil through seems to sharpen them up if they aren't cutting crisply. Have to say, though, that I don't seem to have any problems.
