White Stazon pads

Post by Guest on Wed 17 Dec 2008 - 3:14

I went to Colemans in kettering just to check out the white stazon pads..they didn't even have one.....

so I figure that either a) someone has bought the last one for me for xmas.... Very Happy
or
b) no-one has cos they didn't have any on the shelf.... Sad

So i came up with a solution....i ordered one ..they will get it from the warehouse....and ring me.

I might however....pop over to warehouse on saturday morning....lol just in case i see something i must have.

I also treated myself to a couple of Pens...Teabag told me to the other night....well what she actually said was..'you should get yourself a basic set of colours sometime...' lol so i bought a Sakura Glaze and a souffle..the souffle one is missing out of the bag..but it might have dropped out in the car...fingers crossed... i also bought a pack of basic Grey magnetic snaps...i did get 81p discount. Wink

I hoped to be tempted by a couple of new cuttlebug texture folders..but they dont have them in the store..just the warehouse...

So come on..give me some things to try with the white stazon pad..when i get it... Very Happy pretty please..

I like to use mine on my letters and titles. Shapes too.

I paint the chipboard with acylic and then stamp a random pattern in white over them and then often finish with a coat of Diamond Glaze.

And you know from my recent layouts that it stamps superbly on metallic letters and metal slide frames and metal ... well metal anythings!!

I only use staz on that I can see, otherwise I'd make a right mess colouring in stamped images.

come on...lots more ideas needed....

i love the 'stamp on black' lol i thought about all kinds of dark colours....of course...for some reason...RED came to mind....

i will use it on black shrink too.

i thought brown too, to look like chocolates with swirly cream on.

Hey...whats wrong with white Stazon..its rubbish...or am i doing something wrong.???

The pad was dry? so i used the 're-inker' surely a re-inker is too re-ink..not ink???

i am very disappointed..i put some of the re-inker on the pad..more than a teaspoonful it says to use...but i could hardly see where i had stamped on red..or on bronzy card????? and....it has stained my acrylic stamping block..i tried using stazon cleaner and it still wont come off?????

yet black stazon does come off the same block???? i also had probs cleaning the stamp...when i used blue stazon and then cleaned with stazon cleaner the blue came off but i can still see bits of white????

HELP!!!!!!

Did you spread the ink around, Goaty?
I only used a teaspoon on mine and it's still going strong. Haven't had to reink it yet. I spread it all over the pad.

but should it have been dry to start with..i have used stazon before and the pad has always been wet when purchased????

i did spread it and applied and spread more...it isn't the stamp as blue stazon works fine and gives a super image

Yes. For some reason these are dry when you get them, Sue. I don't know why they did that though.

I don't even store mine upside down, but you could try that and see if it helps.

I was going to mention that, I think it's a general white ink thing, there are probs with white ink in pens too, I just inked one end of my pad as I don't use it often, however that has gone hard and has a kind of crust on it. I wonder if putting cling film or a bit of aceteate on it would help. Bloomin expensive for the amount of times I use it, unlike my brilliance pad that really has run out, after me only having had it 10 years and using it lots, I have reinked that too so I really think it's done it's time.
