He's fabulous, Jo: how long did it take you?

Surprisingly not too long Lynda. I used cookie cutters for most of the leaf shapes, did the nose, eyes, mouth etc free hand and then embroidered leaves to keep it together. Maybe about 5 hours on and off.

Very Impressive, and tactile.
As you say 'not long' to a crafter but at £10 an hour plus materials, if you sell it... just saying ;)
We had a bloke round this morning to replace a radiator, something Mick would usually do with my brother's help. He also did another little job, here less than an hour, no materials £60 and that was mates rates.
What I'm waffling on about is not selling yourself short. Although I know there is an element of people won't pay that. These works are unique and you should charge  properly for them.
I like it btw LOL

Mick just said he'd expect to see a £65 price tag on it.

Karilyn, sold to Mick 😂 I was going to put £30 on like my others to see how it went. I am taking it to the craft fair and they won't pay round here as they are all tight. Even the simplest things take over an hour and I charge £5, I know I know.....

It's the same for all of us, Jo: we know how long things take and often the materials are relatively nothing - but who is going to pay the going rate? What annoys me is that I've seen watercolours where there's relatively few brush strokes to creat a beautiful picture, and they can get £80 for it. We spend three days making something and no-one will pay more than a tenner.
