Our hotel suite

This would probably fit in the 'This made me smile today', as I don't think we've wiped the smiles off our faces since!  This is the bedroom:

I forgot to say that it was a leather sleigh bed in there.  In the left foreground is part of the huge bay, which is where the dining table is.

The bathroom is off a lobby, which you enter through a door from the bedroom: through another door straight ahead is the loo and yet another door at the side leads to the bath/shower room - this is the amazing original bath:

The pillar-thing is the waste control: to activate the 'plug', you leave the top part in the tube.  When you want to empty the bath, you lift the top part up and rest it on the top of the tube.  Loved the steps, as I have difficulty climbing into some higher-sided modern baths, let alone a huge one like this!  For the environment's sake, I only ran a small amount of water - think I would have used the whole supply for the hotel if I'd filled it up!

This is the dressing room, through another door off the bedroom:

Down the left-hand side it's all wardrobes, but down the right-hand side it's drawers and (probably the original) presses, from when people mainly kept their clothes folded on shelves.

Definitely an experience!

Lynda

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing

Sod the environment I'd have filled that sucker with bubbles and water and wallowed.
