Christmas 2017

Post by lyndaejane on Mon 20 Nov 2017 - 13:56

As we're still a small group, it seems best to stick to last year's Christmas swap, either a Christmas card or a Christmas card plus a tree ornament.

Just to cover the ground again, the Forum Christmas card is a card which will be sent to one other forum member, but will have inside it a message to everyone on the forum. You can choose whether you just want to send a card or if you'd like to make a Christmas Tree ornament - however simple and in whatever materials you want - to go with it. Once we get to the cut-off date, or everyone has signed up (which ever is the sooner), you will receive a PM from me to let you know who your recipient will be.

Sign up by December 5th, cards/card and ornament to be posted by the Last Posting Date (not sure what that is, as I don't have the leaflet from the PO).

CARD ONLY

Don't worry, Tina, plenty of time and I knew you were up to your neck in it.

Thanks, Jo - will add you to the list. Still have the lovely ornament you made from the wooden curtain ring.

Claire hasn't been on here for ages, thought she might take part. Tina said she would think about it when the panic over the new gallery was over, so hopeful there. Would love to think Ruth could manage a card, but I will leave it to her as to whether she feels up to it - if not, it doesn't matter. There's always next year.

Oh good, Tina - will add your name.

Ruth - we would all understand if you can't manage the swap this year, we just wish you better. But I wouldn't like to leave you out if you did want to join, so maybe you could let me know one way or another, please? If you'd prefer to PM me, then please do. In other circumstances, I'd leave it open for a while, but am aware of needing to let Alison know asap, what with the move and everything.

I meant to say: Karelyn (I think it was), or somebody who has the ability to make contact with Lorraine - could you kindly do so and tell her there is a PM waiting for her, please? No use my e-mailing, as she says she doesn't pick up her e-mails.

Thanks.

Have done the PMs for the cards only and will now do them for the card with ornament. Please let me know if you don't get my PM.

Was a real so-and-so, with just six of us, trying to avoid giving people the same recipients as in recent years and I failed! So you may be sending to someone who was your recipient two years ago, but hopefully not last year.

Forgot to say earlier: as this isn't actually a Secret Santa, please feel free to open the cards and ornaments when you get them, and post pictures in a gallery that hopefully someone can set up for us! (Thanks in advance for that).
