Upcycled sweaters

Post by gingerjo on Sat Oct 07, 2017 7:24 pm

I saw a tunic/dress made from sweaters so thought I'd have a go. 3 sweaters.1.99 each from charity shop. Didn't have a clue what I was doing, just chopped and sewed together and this happened.

Fab! Was the lady part of one of the sweaters, or did you add her?

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date Laughing

I added her. Rosie bought me a couple of machine embroidery designs the other week. Added this one too but not removed the stabilizer in this pic!

Amazing, Jo - incredible what can be done to upcycle clothes! You did very well to work by instinct rather than a pattern, too.

Thanks. My goal is a Katwise coat. If you Google you will see. They are amazing!

There's some work in the Katwise coat, Jo! And a lot of recycled sweaters, I should think, which such a flared style. They look fab, though.

I can see you in that, what fun to make and wear. Loving the embroidered motifs too, nice work, and good old Rosie for buying the designs.
