Buttons

Post by gingerjo on Thu 21 Sep 2017 - 19:55

I made a cape with an IKEA throw. I needed huge buttons so I made some with polymer clay.

The cape's great but those buttons are awesome. Great job, Jo.

They're, great, Jo - did you use a stamp or something to get the design on them? Cape looks fab!

I used some lace then rubbed colour on. The capes are usually tweed with a lining and ones I have seen cost a fortune. I might make another one properly as it's really handy to just run to the shop, jump in the car when you don't need a coat. I literally folded that fabric in half.

You could sell them at your SP do's, I'm sure you can think of other designs for them ;)
Super job.
