DIY gilding wax

Post by lyndaejane on Sat 8 Aug 2015 - 16:18

Has anyone tried making their own gilding wax? Just wondered whether you could add Pearlex or similar to furniture wax and make your own.

It might work with candle wax Lynda, I have some if you would like to try it.

You'd have to melt the candlewax in order to add the pigment, I would think, Billie: not sure how well it would mix in with the melted wax. I do have candle wax here, thanks - one of these days I shall make some candles with it!
