Bag 6 - Satchel

Post by Lorraine on Sun 13 Apr 2014 - 22:40

Not sure I'll be making any more of these!!! The interfacing is so thick, it's a nightmare. I'm wondering if I could get away with a slightly more floppy one, might try 'cause I have got another set of hardware for one.

OMG thats FAB. Lots of the ones the kids use are soft so I'm sure you could do them softer. You have found your calling with bag making, just an idea but you know that stuff that you can get to be table covers, looks like leather? you could make these in that. I think.

Looks superb, Lorraine: love the colours, and the attention to detail with the piping.

Definitely worth charging more for this one!

That's smashing, the sort of bag I would think the teens would go for.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date Laughing

I love the colours of this one. How long is it taking you to make these Lorraine as you are certainly churning them out, soon have your shop up and running.

Alex's girlfriend arrived with one tonight and she paid 35 for it. She say's yours looks much better made and is lovely colours. We both say don't under price your bags, she has seen all of them and most appeal to her she thinks they are great.

This is my fave. Where did you get the clips from? my mum wanted some and I couldn't find any metal ones like that. Talking of tea- towels. If you ever go to Primark, and there is a big one here if you EVER come to see us. They have fabulous large good quality ones in fab designs. I bought a load of clockface type ones and owls to make something with.

Yeah, that's why I treated myself to only 2 sets and I don't want to part with the other set, lol. I'll be sourcing plastic ones from now on. Mr Green

Saw some metal ones on ebay last night, maybe be smaller but were being sold for dog collars. Maybe worth a look.
