New conservatory/paths

Post by thriftycrafter on Sun 8 Dec 2013 - 15:15

This was what I came home to the day they started;
the peach splash-back on the wall was where a sink was and the washing machine had been to the right of it.

The walls for the footings up to damp-proof course level, showing the old floor, so you can see how much bigger it will be.

Can't locate the pic of the walls to full height at the mo, but this is the step and the 'patio' they put our bench back in place, aah

This is how our side path looks at the moment, only they have built up the drain covers and put in the dividing bits for the concrete since this pic was taken

This is the path at the left hand side of the house where the ditch is, we've never had a proper path here, I'm so pleased with this, I can fill my watering cans and not stumble over the rubble that was there to get to my plants at the front.

The same path from the front of the house, there was a skip behind me, so I couldn't move back far enough for a good pic, the closest edge is wider than it looks here, you could park a bike/ or the wheelie bins there and have room :)

This is the front garden, Mick is now taking the trellis and planter out and the trellis around the door and planters either side have gone. He has realised we will need a new step as the planter to the right of the door was built over the edge of the old step and we have put new slabs to meet the planter, er, was ok, but now we have odd bits of old step showing.

First one is a real scene of chaos, eh, Karelyn. Coming on a treat: really looking forward to seeing it finished (but not as much as you are, of course).

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing
