Can I have it?

Post by Lorraine on Thu 6 Nov 2008 - 21:48

Mia trying to get hold of my yellow organza. Mr Green Hanging off the pic, is a piece of the actual ribbon. Crate Baby Bee papers. Robocut title. I wanted a multipic LO again, but wanted something different from Legging It, and figured a waterfall would work. It does. Mr Green

And these are the 8 pics in the waterfall.

Oh Lorraine, this is sheer perfection and what a little doll she is, eh? She sure makes up for any old trash life may occasionally throw at you, and she lights up your face with such a lovely smile! What a great idea doing the waterfall on a layout too .... tres clever!

Ahh now I really love this one and I agree she looks a smasher.... I adore that sort of faded look (is it called shabby chic?) and i love the papers. the main photo is a particularly good one of you and you can literally see the love flowing out of your eyes in all the others. In picture 7 of the waterfall 8 I could almost eat her (in the nicest possible way)

are those waterfall thingies difficult to do?

this is a smashing layout.

What a fab LO and a super set of photographs! I especially love the last one - the way you are looking at each other speaks volumes.

Gorgeous in every way.

What a fabulous LO and photots Lorraine. She's such a photogenic little thing.
Love the idea of the waterfall, but I use plastic covers so nobody would be
able to try it out. I always think that's the problem with hidden journalling
as well.

I use plastic covers too, Steph but the pages aren't meant to come in and out all the time. If Mia looks at it a half dozen times when she's grown, it should stand the wear and tear of that. Mr Green I did wonder about the same thing when I started scrapping, but I don't worry about it anymore. I like hidden journaling on tags too, you see. Very Happy

Glad you like it, girls. Mr Green

I too like the hidden stuff and sometimes i purposefully do it so it doesnt get seen on every view. As Lorraine says, the page will probably only get taken in and out sometimes.

Patty did a beautiful scrapbook for me for my 40th, and there are some things in it like a lock of hair , a ring etc that arent gettatable and although I took the pages out fo their sleeves to see them the first time, and maybe I have again since, but now that i know they are there I dont take them in and out I just bask in the knowledge that they are there. Like I know the photos of my ancestors have the dates on a tag behind them but its enough for me to just know its there.

anyway, I shall be copying this technique as soon as I know how and have time!

They are lovely pics of you too. I recently read of something that is now so obvious I wonder why I didn't think of it. I have quite a few LO's with tags or flaps that need to be pulled out and I'd toyed with various ideas in order to make them accessible. Anyway someone said they stick theirs to the outside of the pocket, so you have the one facing the otherway like usual which keeps the sleeve firm and you can touch what iu need to, the facing page will be in it's sleeve so that keep away form the surface one. I think I'll try that next time. I'm going to use it forthe journalling pages in My bro's 'Balls' album.

Love this LO anyway and particularly the pics. That's a future crafter, lovely, she'll be on the forum before we know it.
