Vodka infused blackberries?

Post by gingerjo on Mon 29 Oct 2012 - 21:57

I made some blackberry vodka, which is yummy, but as I strained it tonight I am left with all these blackberries that are soaked in vodka.

Has anyone made it before, if so what did you do with your blackberries?

No way am I binning them, lol. There aren't that many but I don't know what to make with them.

I will also have some raspberries in a few weeks to use up too Bottle of Wine

Would it set though with the vodka? did think of jelly but wasn't sure if it would set. Been trawling sites and cake sounds good, but can't find a recipe.

Eat it with ice cream?
Or just add lemonade.
Can you puree it for a breezer type drink?

Good idea, Karelyn: would make great cocktails! Puree it, then freeze the puree as ice cubes and defrost as many as you need for the cocktail, Jo!

I did think of that Lynda and then I thought of whipping cream and doing an Eton mess type of think with meringues and the berries. Ooo so many suggestions, will do one tomorrow.

Never had vodka jelly Lorraine, so didn't know it would set.
