thingamebobs

Post by Guest on Fri 17 Oct 2008 - 20:44

I want a 6 ring loop thing to put a cabochon in to make a 3 strand necklace

Found a four ring loop thing but not a 6 ring one. Doesn't matter if it's one that fastens the necklace or not.

OK, need to know cab size. Is it same as the one on the link?

I'm assuming it has to be 3 loops each side.

Thanks Lou I haven't got the Cab yet as I was wanting to make sure I could get the link thing.

KT - It's jewellery making. Saw a beautiful necklace in a jewellery shop. It was a big coral disc with 3 strands of pearls from it, with a couple of coral beads in the strands. They wanted 2000 ish for it. The pearls aren't even top grade.

Well, not getting any help from other forum, which is unusal, but I've searched and searched, Celf.

The nearest I can find is this one, top of the page, and I suppose you could take the cab out and stick your own in.

THats a clasp that one Lou, not sure thats what Celfy wants. You could always double up your strings on the 4 loop one so that you ended up with 4 on each side. Just a thought.
Its called a cabochon setting or cabachon mount. I've had a look and can't find one sorry.

She said it didn't matter if it fastened necklace or not, Jo. In her first post. Mr Green
