Christmas stamps, mag freebies

Post by thriftycrafter on Sat 10 Sep 2011 - 17:17

Would anybody like these? They're from the creativity mag, I won't use them, they're the rubber backed ones about an inch sq each, would fit on inchies.
Also available the star for Craft stamper, which is an outline the sort of thing you think I could have drawn that better myself, good for bachgrounds I suppose. I haven't scanned that as it's temporarily buried somewhere, poss on the craft desk.
Let me know and I'll bung them in the post.

I wouldn't mind these please, Karelyn: specially like the snowflake (well I never) and the round robin as I'm keen on the circular greetings and suchlike. Will pass on the star one, thanks.

Will happily pay postage.

I think it will go for large letter stamp, so don't worry Lynda, glad that someone can use them.

The stamps arrived this morning, Karelyn - thankyou so much. Haven't tried them out yet, but they look promising: would look lovely on envelopes as well I think. Thanks also for the offer to cut some tags: I did manage to buy one of the single tag dies: a shop on eBay was selling them new (probably remaining stock) at a relatively reasonable price. Think I recognise the card you cut the tag from: Belgian chocs or biccies? Of course, I shall be incorporating the tag in something in the future (you'd not forgive me if I didn't!).

Chocolate of some sort, might have been an Easter egg, it's not 'freshly cut', just had it in a box. I'm thinking Thorntons, but might be something else :)
Glad it got there and could be useful.

Now anyone for the whimsically wonderful star??
It looks slightly less gopping IRL.

I'd love to see someone make it look good, they did a few examples in the mag and it looked ok on non descript things like a gift bag I think. I know I couldn't make it look anything other than what it is, and I do have other stars. Go for it Scatty, but remember we'll all be expecting wonders LOL.

Would probably look good on giftwrap - saw it on the front of the mag, so could see what size it was.

Bearing in mind how many of these are about, and how much everyone doesn't seem too impressed by them, will we need to make a rule if we have the usual one-card-to-everyone swap this Christmas, that use of this stamp is forbidden?

Better idea: if someone wants to make giftwrap, and can get a large piece of perspex to act as a block, everyone could send them their star stamps and they could stamp a whole section at a time!
