Patty's retreat work (Image heavy)

Post by Guest on Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:48 pm

These are pics of Ken as a little boy, one with his sister, for his son's 50th birthday album of Ken's life.

Hand cut flowers, frame and butterflies on these. Worth the effort but took ages!!

I simply loved this patchwork style, cutting up all the little bits of paper to fit the stuck down photos!

Love these Patty, I too like the cut out flowers, but the last one is my favourite, not sure I will ever get them this good.

I echo Alison's words - love them all, but the last really good.
I love collagey type art and what a great way to use up bits of
paper.
On the others I like the flowers against a plain white background.
Really makes the colour jump out.

Fabulous work Patty. I do like the top one but the bottom one is brilliant.

All gorgeous, top one is my favourite (I have to be different eh?). Is that the resist technique that ATDML blogged about?

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing

Yes, that was a really good layout to do and I loved the technique and may use it on another challenge over the road which I need to do this week.

How have I missed these must have been one of those days when the net stole the days posts since last visit.
What a wonderful album, loving the flowers and the stitching, great work.
