50 Golden Years

Post by WeirdCat on Thu 24 Feb 2011 - 15:34

My Nan and Grandad

This layout was sad to make, firstly because both of them are now gone but also because I will never have this and that was never my intention when I got married. Of course I could be swept off my feet by my knight in shining armour, get remarried this year and live past 94

Nostalgic memories, especially when folk have passed on.
Still possible for us to reach Golden - it will be 44 years in
September.

Hang in there - you COULD easily be swept off your feet and live to be older than 95!! I'm ever hopeful.

Lovely.

My Dads parents and my Mum and Dad both had their 50th anniversaries (no pics though), I never will that's for certain.

me neither, but I am comforted by the thought that we loved each other more in the 21 years we did have than lots of people do in longer periods and I will always love him too and noone can take that away.

anyway, its a lovely poignant layout and the lace is a lovely and fitting touch.

That's right Mia - I don't know any other couple who were as happy as you two, apart from Kenny and I - you will always, always remember how much he loved you. xxx

Ah it's lovely, many of us won't make 50 years but hey. Let's enjoy what we have with or without a partner. I'm sure it wasn't how you expected it to work out, but no reason not to enjoy life, find other things to celebrate. You're good at enjoying your boy's milestones and achievements.
Never say never either!
