Birthday Cards

Post by karinlouise on Tue 6 Jul 2010 - 21:27

Probably the total wrong place for this thread, but its still crafty Mr Green

I wanted to apologise really.

I started the year with really good intentions of doing something for each of you for birthdays. I had decided I was going to be different and do little 'somethings' instead of cards and I did manage to get as far as April.

Unfortunately I've failed miserably since then and despite my promises am going to revert back to doing cards. The thing is, its the time or lack of. What with the school supply work and no time on the weekends I am not getting chance to make for the recent birthdays and can't really see it changing much. Certainly not enough to catch up on 'somethings'

So I am going to go back to doing cards. Those of you that I've missed since 1st May, I won't forget about you though.

I know we are all busy people and you will no doubt say, don't worry. But I do. You folks are family to me, better than family if I'm honest, cos you listen and you're there when I need you. But for the last two years my sending of cards was totally all over the place and I only remembered a few, so this year was a new leaf.

thanks xxxxx

Karin hun, I've said it before, and I'll say it again; I make cards for you lot because I like making cards.

It is lovely to receive cards, but the support that we all give to each other is far more important than any card. You are all like family to me too, especially given my weird family (not P and the girls of course!).

now stop apologising!

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing

Tina hs said it brilliantly. for goodness sake, and in any case, nobody here wants to be a 'burden' or 'job' to anyone else on here I am sure. Id hate to think somebody had a rotten or squeezed up day because they HAD to make me a card. Thats not why I send cards, nor why I am here.

Fight!!!!!! lol

You never need to feel pressured to send anything to anyone, we all know how busy folk are with various commitments. It's lovely to get cards etc of course, but no one will be offended if you don't send one.

Absolutely. I am lucky in that I am home all day and can craft and comp until
my hearts content. I used to be like you all with young children, and believe me
I remember how stressful running a home and family can be.
This forum is fun - no good making it stressful for yourself.

Oh my you lot, you do make me laugh.

You know I'm a worrier, not much can change about that.

My ears stinging now, promise to try and be a good girl now.

I love that frying pan image, not seen if before. Lorraine's probably put it on specially to box my ears.

Thank you all, honestly, I'll still worry, but I know you'll understand. Which I did know anyway, I just needed to say it.
