I cant read it either.

presume 'hybrid' means that some bits are digital and some are 'proper' ? How does that work then? I mean do you print it out to put in your album or does it just live on the pc?

clever anyway.

Re: A Galaxy of Smiles...

It's a combination of both, Maria. You print things out and then put them on the paper layout.

The aliens are clipart, printed, cutout and put on foam pads.
The title 'Galaxy' was also a clipart. I put that into Photoshop, resized it, printed it and cut it out. To get 'of smiles' I used the colour from 'Galaxy' chose my own font and filled it with the yellow. Then I put a drop shadow round it, printed, cut out and attached.
The scallop is a shape in Photoshop and I colour picked the yellow again. Printed, cut out and a Sandylion word sticker was attached.
The arrow was done the same way, taking the colour from bottom right alien.
To get the text in white, I colour picked the blue from the middle alien, made a text box, filled it with the blue and then chose white as the text colour.
The background papers, cardstock, photo's, stitching and buttons are all 'real'.

I think it's a bit busy really, but I just couldn't seem to get what I wanted somehow, even though it was in my head.

I didn't think you'd be able to read that journaling, but it just really says what a happy little boy he is, how he smiles and laughs all the time and that his mummy took the photo with me in it. It also says how he loves to be held and cuddled and that I'm wondering, at time of writing, how long that will last, lol.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing

If I had seen this LO (other than the obvious photos) I would never
have guessed it was by you Lorraine. It's so totally different for you.
I never thought I would see the day when you used funny little folk
on a LO. It all works so well.
