Sandcastles and Orchids

Post by WeirdCat on Sun 30 May 2010 - 18:48

Here are two from today, the first is the boys building sandcastles at Mablethorpe

The second is a picture of the orchid my best friend got me for my birthday, she got me one last year and I killed it within a week but this picture was taken yesterday and as you can see it is thriving, it had two flowers on when she gave it to me

love both of these too - you are doing some great layouts Ruth,m the sandcastle one is just so fun and the papers all suit it so well. I love the frame look on the bottom one - is that an overlay or are the black flowers a rub on?

The flowers are a rub on, the frame is just the way the paper is, I was going to cut it out but in the end decided to leave it

That frame is very effective, and well done on keeping the orchid alive.
The first one is nice and bright and cheerful, just right for holiday pics.

They like steamy places, but you probably didn't kill the first one, I expect it had just been moved too much, or got too dry, it sounds like it was on it's way out when it got to you. This one is lovely and both great LO's liking the orchid best though.
