School shirts

Post by thriftycrafter on Thu 27 May 2010 - 19:02

From a kit with a challenge to scrap what's coming next;

]
The bunting reads; 1 shirt a day, 5 days a week 5, 12 weeks a term 60, 3 terms a year 180, Primary School 5 years 900, Middle school 4 years 720, High school 3 years 540, Jake, Evan, Chloe x3, Total 6480.
Journalling; Chloe finishes school in June, which means the end of school uniform for the whole family. That got me thinking, as I pegged out the washing before setting off for school myself; How much uniform have we washed over the years?
6480 shirts, not to mention trousers, skirts, jumpers, fleeces, PE kit. Not the end of washing kid's clothes of course, but the end of an era.

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing

I love these unusual layouts about ordinary life. Great idea.

I love LOs like this that are so far away from the normal scrappy
subjects. This is such fun, and very informative. I think it's a very
veru clever subject, and a great page at the end of it.

This is really great and such a fun idea too. Much better than just thinking about it - and I love bunting, as you know!

Great LO Karelyn. Those shirts were much better to wash & iron than the ones we wore with ties though.

I may borrow this idea, it is a great layout, I just have one left in uniform for two more years, scary how fast it goes
