Love them all, but the ropes (sheets!) have it for me!

No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing

Yes I think my fave is the bottom one. Lovely LO.

They are all nice, what does the ropes on the first one mean. Was it from somewhere. I guess I'm still not passed doing people ones yet Mr Green

Now, I'm voting for the top one, love the picture, and the string you've added, the others are great too though.
Like Maria, hoping to see these IRL at the weekend.

Three fabulous LOs Patty. I love the first one. I adore LOs of non people
photos and this is great. The other two are very nice. Three very very
different.

Re Ropes/Sheets: All sailing ships have ropes (obviously) which in sailing terms are always called sheets. I tied all the little bits of string through eyelets down the side because of all the sheets on the tall ship I was on! The crew keep them in immaculate condition, don't they?

Ah I see. Didn't realised you'd been on the ship. Isn't it strange how words are used to describe something thats nothing like its supposed to. ie., sheets we think of as big squares of material. thanks hun x

My Dad being ex Navy and Coastguard, I knew what sheets were. Hence the saying 'Three sheets to the wind' when you're drunk, lol.

Re: Tied up

But, what does it mean. If sheets are the ropes, how would three ropes describe drunk. Or does it stem back to times when the sailors coming home from months at see would spend all their pay in the bar.

It's more the rum they'd drink on board, Karin, lol. The sailors wouldn't tie the sheets properly and they'd be blowing in the wind. Mr Green
