This Week So Far...Princesses

Post by karinlouise on Wed 3 Mar 2010 - 22:36

Thanks to Katie for this inspiration, having seen her card a few weeks back with this gorgeous princess and design of card I couldn't help it when my fingers started remembering bits, so I just had to find the picture and, well, for want of a better word.......Copy It.

Yes, they are pretty.
Do you actually sell or have a use for ALL these cards you're turning out, Karin? You seem to have found what it is people want.

Lorraine, yes I do at the moment I am making for a Table Top sale the school is having next week. We as parents have been given the chance to pay 3 for a pitch and can sell what we want. For the most part its designed to help school gets some funds, whilst parents can spring clean and get rid of some stuff. I'm doing the cards and hopefully a few small bits of beaded stuff like the bag charms.

Normally my only outlet is a box of cards in the school staffroom, but hopefully if enough people see I do these then they just might be up for buying or commissions in the future. I am thinking that in the summer I will put them out on the car boot stall I'll be doing as well.

Karelyn I should shouldn't I. Kate is another who always produces brilliant cards. I love staring at other peoples cards and getting inspiration and ideas. When I started putting the stuff together yesterday I was edging towards the funky papers, and thinking about scalloped frames, it occured to me that I had seen this image done, and as I knew Kate had this image I searched the threads and found it. It made such an impression I'd remembered bits of it already.

they do say the best form of flattery is mimicry......hope you really don't mind Kate.
xx
