No, I'm not putting my 'to do' list here, that would be far to organised, PLUS I would have to keep it up to date  Laughing

Hoping that's not from the avatar LOL
It was a great night, there was snow as we arrived in Northamtonshire, but the roads were clear. We had a bit more snow during the night, and a much better nights kip in the hotel, phew.
It was great to meet the girls, I didn't recognise Jane as her hair is a different colour from the avatar pic, saw lots of pics of her family and doggy on her phone. Had a nice bop, the band was good, food likewise.
I have the nod of pproval to bring the caramel shortbread to the retreat. They all went off shopping to Colemans this morning, I erred on the side of caution, having recently tried to get all my stash back in the craft room with stuff still not quite in there, and DD to collect on our return.
I though Goaty picked a nice hall, just the right size, plenty of parking, nice atmosphere, she looked great with her posh nails and hair etc, nice frock too.
cheers all, DH is amused at his new name too, Mr Thrifty LOL

Oh they are fabulous, you look as though you really all enjoyed it. Fantastic eveing. I knew jane and suzy but not the rest of you, though I do think I've seen a pic of Nona before. Lovely to see you all and can't wait for it IRL.

Suzy, the girl in the blue leapord print is that Geri. Will show her to Lily as I still remind every now and then about the books !!

Re: Goaty's Party (image heavy)

Post by Guest on Mon 22 Feb 2010 - 19:29

Thanks for all the super comments...the hair topok 7 minutes to tart up..i was late getting to my daughters house for her to do it, they were about to leave to go to party thinking i had decided to do my own hair lol

We did have a few probs..least of which was that although I had used the oven the night before the party..it gave up the ghost...the element had blown....one is now on order..so i hoped i would get a rest from cooking..but the hob is working fine..so no chance...

Mother in law was phoned and she agreed to cook the jacket spuds...which were yummy....

Nona was roped in to let me use her oven for pizzas...i had to rush to the nail place where i had been pampered 'nail wise' the day before...because four nails on one hand were ruined (polish wise) they agreed to re-do one hand, but did both..so i had to leave Nona to finish of the last pizza....

When i got back..she had 'altered' some doilies, cleaned and dried the cardboard..lol and had cut the pizza, arranged it very nicely and double wrapped the plates of pizza, What fun to have resourceful friends...

I didnt have to pay for the re-do of nails and they did both hands again just in case..they are still looking lovely

Thanks to Celfy, one of the official photographers....

I'll get the photos on to a flash drive so you can download them to your laptop and get them printed to go into your Teabag album.
