More Random Cards

Post by kt_dragonfly on Mon 11 Jan 2010 - 21:32

I really must put an order into Asda and get some prints delivered! (cheaper and better quality than printing from home) cos I'm getting really bored of cards!!!

Two nice ones. Do you sell them anywhere Kate ? I know you
make some for folk when asked, but just wondered if you sold any
on a regular basis. Does anyone else ? Just curious - I really
don't want to sell as it would take away my enjoyment even though
people say I should sell them, but I would hate making them become a chore.

that is exactly what happens to me at christmas steph , and this year with having 1 week on the boat in november then having a week with a sore throat i was way behind and i had to go and buy some cards for the lads and our mums for the first time in 6 years .
normally i get all my frineds cards done first then i can concentrate on my commisions but this year i wanted to tell them to go buy them instead ,i did do them but it was a real chore

I did make to order for money when I as at work for the girls I
worked with and enjoyed it - it was fun, but to make huge batches
etc doesn't strike me as fun at all. I would rsther stick to doing what
I want, when I want. No point in a hobby if it really stresses you out.

That's why I have a slump in January because I am fed up with cards because Christmas ones are done in bulk. These are lovely cards Kate especially the new home one

I like these, very nice. The doggy one especially. I do need to get a doggy stamp, mmmm will have todo a search me thinks.

I do sell cards at school, but these days I tend to make as I need them, then I can make them more personal, however, I would like to think I had a bit of time to sit and make a few at a time to go in the box for selling when I need them. Need to cull the ones in the box anyway.

Schools the only place at the moment. Might have a word with them about putting them on a stall when they do their kids shop on a weds. But for our lot they would have to be cheaper ones.

Gosh - that was a good freebie. You'll have to stamp a few for the
retreat.

I don't belieeeeeve it, I stamped up these images this morning and took to work to colour in my lunch hour and I did the dog's parcel in green, but with a peach ribbon. I didn't do his teddy though. I really liked the cards in that mag, lots that were my sort of thing.
I never thought of putting a shadow on though, must blag that idea as it looks so good.
First must buy grey pens, now who make them? LOL
Thanks for the inspiration Kate, shadows here we go.
