Wonders of nature.

Post by gingerjo on Mon 9 Nov 2009 - 11:53

A few pics from hols.

On way to JOhn o Groats, spotted a heron flying over the loch.

Sea foam on Embo beach

Atlantic salmon leaping up the falls of Shin

This little chap was almost on my boot, if I had had food I think he would have taken it out of my hand.

There's always one! He had to do 3 point turn and go back through the sea!!Causeway to Holy Island.

Lindisfarne castle

Sunrise from caravan.

Some fab pics there, Jo!
Perfect timing with the salmon and with the bird (in the last one)! I've never been to Lindisfarne, but have passed it by a few times.

Must confess, Bob took the salmon one, lol. I took the others tho' apart from the one of me that is.

You should go Bobs next time you pass if the tides are right. Its beautiful on a sunny day. You wouldn't believe that was 31st October tho'.

What beautiful tranquil photos Jo. Love them all. The robin is so cute and to catch a salmon leaping
is amazing. The sunrise is lovely. What time of the morning was that ?

Oh that's not bad - I thought it was going to be some unmentionable
hour. Certainly worth it for such a stunning photo.

Sunrise Lorraine, that foam was amazing I took loads of pics of it. Thought I'd pop that on so you could see how high it was compared to me. Lindisfarne is Holy Island, near Berwick on tweed.

these are fab and it was lovley to see some pics of what you've been up to. I particularly loved the sea foam and the sunrise but Lindisfarne castle looks a gorgeous place to visit, and well done to Bob for the salmon one.

Holy Island is one of my favourite places and Ken and I used to always include it in our walking hols in Northumberland.

We drove as high tide was at 11am and we were just passing through on our way back home from Scotland. Got there about 9.30 so didn't have long. Will definately go back sometime though and walk I reckon. Would love to spend the whole day there.

As for scrapping, hahahaha.
