trying hard!

Post by Guest on Tue 23 Jun 2009 - 21:54

This is me, trying to learn from the things Lorraine taught us at the Retreat last August. Took this straight into the sun and am quite pleased with it for a first try. You said I should try these things Miss!!!!

My ones don't come out like that, they are all black.

Look at those sunbeams, lovely. I need to have some lesons too.

Wow, didn't know you could take photos into the sun without them being dark and white

The photo I took recently of our water feature/now planter was taken
in full sun and I didn't think it was too bad. My Dad was a pro photographer
and he always taught me to have the sun behind, but he was old fashioned
in his beliefs.

Oh, well done, Patty.
That's really good. I like it. clap Mr Green

I tell you what though, if you get yourself a polarizing filter (can be bought cheaply) you could do that without any of the sunburst. Mr Green

Can you get one of these filters for my tiny Olympus automatic digital, because that's what I took it on ... on Auto, no manipulations!! So I can't really take the credit for it, can I? You were right, though, when you said that little tiny thing would (OR COULD) take great photos! Thank you again - it was one of the highlights of the retreat for me, as you know,

We all enjoyed the workshop Patty, but some of us haven't had much time to do the practice and experimenting..so perhaps a big get together is in order again.....

I don't know about filters for the compacts, Patty. Possibly.

Patty, I just meant that I just haven't had time to experiemnt enough to do Lorraines tutorial justice...

You have obviously made it a priority, and it shows in your photo's...I on the other hand..have made other less interesting priorities...and have not benefitted as much as i could have. Crying or Very sad
