the weird one

Post by thriftycrafter on Sun 21 Jun 2009 - 22:26

Here it is, not very inspiring, I just couldn't think what to do, so I used a stamp I got a little while back and hadn't used.
]
He thinks it amusing that he has a crown, and said 'I'm a king', I just think it looks like a sign for the gents.

lol, that was my first thought too Karelyn!
Like the way you have tied two different ribbons together, good way to use small pieces.

Well, it IS different, but I wouldn't say weird, lol.

I really like it, Karelyn. It's quirky. Mr Green
And...I'm gonna pinch your ribbon idea. Wink

these men and womens toilet sign things have been quite big recently in lo's and cards haven't they , i personally did not like them , so did not bother buying any , mainly though for the reason that i would not know how to use them , you certainly did . i suppose the only way to use them is with a bit of quirkiness as you have done
i too love the ribbon idea

Glad he liked it, cos thats all that matters at the end of the day.
Quirky is the best way to discribe this.

Yes, I can see what you meant about the gents, Karelyn! But I like the card in general.

Girls - the ribbon idea is great if you haven't got enough of one ribbon to do both halves (recycling/reclaiming idea).

For a change the ribbon thing was for effect, not thriftiness LOL it is the sort of thing I'd do though, I think it looks good in longer strips eg on a LO, and if you have one of those ribbons which has the same pattern in reverse on the back it's good.

I don't think he was struck on the design, but knows when it's best not to say much, he liked the verse inside though and really it's what the kids send that is important.

I love the ribbon idea as well. Such a simple idea that you'd
think it would be a staple crafter tip.

I wouldn't have known what to do with the stamp, love the crown idea and I'll be having a go with 2 different ribbons.

at least he got a Father's Day card..i was sure that i had bought one, but still haven't found it....well he doesn't deserve one anyway....'she says being a bitchy'

If i had thought of the 'gents one' i would have got it for him out of spite and not fun.
