Thank you for my cards

Post by Maria on Tue 16 Jun 2009 - 10:09

Well I had some beauties... they are all nicer in real life and my photo really doesnt do them justice... I particularly love Lorraines and Di;'s... cant choose between those two... and I also really love Jans lovely red poppy which arrived today.

From the top.... Di M, Kim
then .... Lynda, Jan, Ruth
then ....Dawn, Karelyn, Lorraine

and here is the marvellous artwork Steph made me, whcih will be going on the wall. One of the atcs (they are slotted into the latticework) is hinged so i will show you it open and closed because it is divine both ways... also note the gorgeous key hanging on it

and now opened

I think I said, I can't take credit for the idea - I saw the basic idea on a
Joanna Sheen programme on C&C. She used real corkboard but we tried
to buy some cork/cork tiles and tried B&Q/Homebase/Wilkos etc and no one
seems to sell it any more. I was lucky enough to find a decent image on
the internet.

You have some gorgeous cards there Maria. I could have picked out who made
2 or 3 of them. Love the first one and the poppy (I love poppies) but they are
all lovely.

Well here is the lovely card I have just received from Billie. The blue shows up much nicer in real life and the lace edge is the actual edge of the front of the card

inside she wrote (which amused me greatly)

Your Birthday came, Your Birthday went, Heres the card, I should have sent'

Im so glad you sent it Billie, I love it.

I think I might need to copy those words down. What a lovely lot you got, some with lots of great work on, it's so nice to see the talent there is on the forum.
