Cretan Summer

Post by Guest on Tue 2 Sep 2008 - 10:25

Here's the layout I have done for Southend Scrappers "summer" challenge. You had to use a white cardstock background and colours from a set colour palette - quite hard for me!!

Added a few more bits because I felt it was a bit on the bare side, so this is how it is now!

That's lovely Patty. I love these swirls everyone keeps using. Are they handcut, machine cut, or do you buy them like that ?
The LO itself is smashing. I think it's good to do things to rules - it makes you think
more carefully about what you do.

I am really "into" swirls just now, so it was good they wanted some! Most I hand cut, or I buy cheapo chipboard ones and then paint or ink or emboss them. I don't, I'm afraid, have a machine for cutting them. One of my friends has and would always cut me some but I do love hand cutting them too.

Impressed you hand cut them. You must have a steady hand. I will have to try that
and there would be a lot of satisfaction in cutting them myself.

Have added some more to it now as it was a bit bare. Steph, these two swirls were not, alas, two of my hand-cut ones!

oh it looks loads better now youve stamped it with that divine stamp (remember you said you were going to give it to me if i took to crafting?? Im sure you did didnt you? and if you didnt , well why didnt you?)

I liked it before but even more now. Bit brave stamping on a layout after its done - I would never be able to bring myself to risk that.
