Kim get you to a doctor with your mouth, and have you tried bio-gel for the dryness also Lesley has a great cream she uses on my feet will get the name for you.

hope your feet get better Steph maybe the bio-gel would help you as well its wonderful stuff, a bit expensive but goes a long way.

Love you new tune Lorraine very apt.

I have an appointment for skin check on the 5th Nov, so this morning I am sitting just finished my brekkie, when I thought I had better check what time the appt is and saw it was for 11am so dashed through to the bathroom had a quick shower and dressed etc got to the OP just on 11am to be told that my doctor is not there on Wednesdays, I say but its the 5th and she said no that is tomorrow, I felt a bl**dy fool, and I have to go through it all again now, its not the first time I have done this .

Oh Billie - know how you feel. I often do things in a similar vein.
More annoying than anything,

Kim - £5 is a bit on the low side these days. All the ones I go to now charge £8 for a full day, which includes tea/coffee and just biscuits. We all take our own lunch. Mind you, I suppose it depends on the cost of the hall because this evening's one is only £3 and is from 7-9.15pm with tea/coffee and cake.

Morning all, up at stupid o'clock, no idea why apart from the obvious can't sleep. Never mind.

Cath at least Sarah did talk briefly to Malcolm, just keep trying to work on the fact that you would like to know where she is and that she is safe but it doesn't mean you are going to go chasing round there. I am convinced it will all come right in the end

i think it will all turn out good with sarah cath ,i hope so anyway ,just be patient i know its not nice to be in the midst of but it will take time for her to get her head sorted out i think .

The hall /room hire is going to be £48 for my crops ,its a bit of a dive to say the least but its somewhere for us to crop .its got toilets and its warm . its the centre we are battling with councillors for a new one for the estate , 30 years ago we got this one second hand it was originally a canteen for a factory that my dad worked at and it closed down so our estate and the next estate spilt the canteen in half and made it into community centres in our own areas ,ours is still in use and the other estate has since had 2 brick buildings which dont get used very much ,ours get used a lot and they will not replace it .we had to fight tooth and nail last year for a new roof as it was leaking in rain and they were about to close us down .the estete that got lots of money spent on new brick buildings is full of alchies druggies and prostitutes and they get new ones ,its sickening .
oh dear im on my high horse

billie i will go to gp if my mouth does not settle down but it seems to be doing at the moment with using the peroxide mouthwash / gargle ,it just feels as if ive got a brick in my mouth ,note that began with a B

silly billie going to gp on wrong day ,,ive never done that ...and im a liar .
when i first had the stroke problem my memory was terrible for months after and i often went on wrong day ,wrong time etc and they got so used to me doing it they would just fit me in somehow .they were really good with me , luckily i got over it .
we now have a whole new set of receptionists and management and i dont think they would do things like that now .

Post by Maria on 5/11/2009, 9:00 am

gosh its really wild and wuthering here today again, I will need an ark to leave the house! We want the ground to soften up a bit though so we can clear some tree roots from the January storm because I want to plant a weeping willow in the corner, for Ken who used to love sitting there and we need to get it in in December really, so the roots need clearing now. Ive just told Twiz all this (again) and he says if I think he is going out there in this blah blah blah.

All our bins need emptying - compost heap is at the end of the garden (an acre away) and the other bins need to go up to the village but its raining so hard nobody can face it!

Right, well, onwards - got admin work and then I hope to get on with some crafting - Kims doodle is the next one up.

wasnt Spooks marvellous last night? (I wont say more in case anyone hasnt watched it yet - I know Patty hasnt) but it was excellent.

Carry on fighting the good fight for your hall Kim, its worth it.

Thinking of you today Lorraine, I know you have a difficult day to deal with.

Morning.

All that rushing about for nothing Billie! You need a watch or clock with the date on it. Hope the check goes ok today.

Sounds as if you have similar weather to the stuff we have been getting over last few days Maria, and we have more ahead of us I think. Think I side with Twiz on that one lol.

So frustrating when all the lowlife get helped with everything and the decent families get shoved aside, it happens all over the country. Our community centre has always had to fund itself, only thing it ever got from the authorities was the piece of land its built on (40 or so years ago) and the place was paid for and built by the community. Still raises its own funds to this day.

Took Matt and Sam to college this morning. On the way Sam told me he was chatting to Rob and the reason he likes giving his opinions and asking questions at school is that he can then distract the teacher from the task at hand. I said he was obviously very good at it as all the teachers had stressed how relevant his questions and opinions were. Sam then said well we all know he reads wikipedia as a form of entertainment. I said well he has to get his knowledge from somewhere and he certainly had a huge amount of knowledge in his head. Sam then said he got his knowledge from the history channel as he found it interesting and I said I found his knowledge of history to be quite impressive given he wasn't doing GCSE and hadn't done much of it in school prior to that. Then from the back this voice announced proudly 'I can burp the alphabet', totally cracking me and Sam up and stopping the conversation!! Matthew isn't academic and does struggle with two very intelligent brothers behind him however he definitely has his strength one of them being to insert one liners into a conversation and stop it dead! He is so funny!

Catching up with housework, making grub for tonight and tomorrow, trying to keep washing on the line.... lol. Have done a bit of craft stuff in between.
Mushy DVD's - don't know how to work the player (only had it about 3 years!) so not a lot of use to me, even if I ever wanted to watch one (don't like films - get bored about half way through most of them) so cannot use that excuse.

When I started secondary school there was a set of twins who had read a huge amount of the dictionary for the fun of it - they could be very useful in English lol.

Been to have a haircut this morning, although didn't wake until really late this morning and had to rush around. It is colder today and dry and bright but quite windy so I've got my washing done and out there blowing about. Got to fix my bathroom pull-cord light fitting now and as Twiz has just told me I must turn off the power to the lighting circuit before I start, I'd better get on with it or it will be too dark to see what I'm doing! Got two LOs to finish off from last night too (once the lights are back on!!)

well I have to say, I wasnt suggesting he go out in it TODAY, just that I want that done before the winter really sets in.

and having told mum she's got to put her power off to do the switch he has just (at long last) fitted me two new power points in the craft room (the room formerly known as the office) WITHOUT turning the power off at all. Mind you, he is an electrician but even so. very pleased about the points but I have been waiting a year - its murder trying to get him to do anything electrical.

Have been doing Kims challenge.

Okay I am a complete nut now, today still was not the day for my skin check, its tomorrow, Friday the 6th, I am sure the woman on the phone said the 5th when I was booking the appointment as I made a comment that it was my hubbys birthday, so consequently I arrived home very upset as this is the worst time of the year for me, the date of his death does not bother me to much as he was in hospital so much but his birthday really does, we used to have such a great time because of the bonfires and fireworks etc;.

It is really cold here this is the second that I have put my heating on early.

Hope appointment goes well tomorrow Billie.

Just picked Matthew up from the tram station, it's like Armageddon out there! We get home and he then remembers to tell me the police knocked on the door last night at about 11pm. He's got no clue what it was about as by the time he answered they were at other people's houses so he peeped out then went back in.

Good luck for your appointment tomorrow Billie. Hope it's fairly routine.
Lorraine - hope today was okay for you.

I had a great letter this afternoon to say I have won £1000 worth of Staples
vouchers. For those who don't know, Staples is Office supplies so will be able
to buy a new printer, lots of ink cartidges, envelopes, glues etc

card, guillotine, daylight lamp………I could go on.
Will have to wait and see what they have got - our nearest store is Reading and it's
just up the road from that other store - Hobbycraft. What a shame to have to visit both in one hit.

Garys read the dictionary, makes him terrible to play scrabble with, not cos he knows so many words but because all the words he likes are over 7 letters

Very tired lately, my exercise plan has gone out the window, though I did do some dancing last night at the Backstreet Boy concert! Those guys are still as good as ever Mr Green

Not very chatty at the moment, feeling down, mainly because I really hate my new job... Plan to try and get through xmas then I'll try looking again in the new year.

Glad you enjoyed the concert Kt. Shame about the job, but it will be easier to look for something you will like better if you are earning anyway.

Evening! I got a nice suprise when I got in from work last night, phone call asking if I wanted to go to the NEC craft show.
