ive just finished 'the blue nowhere' by Jeffrey Deaver and (ive read 3 or 4 of his and the 'maidens grave' was my fave so far) it was the most gripping, twisty turny one yet and it was all abotu the internet and computers too.

I really loved it, never worked any of it out and didnt want it to end, It was un-put downable and even in my 'difficult patch' at the moment it took my mind off things.

If any of you like this sort of book (psychological thrillers) then I heartily recommend ...

The Pedlar’s Caravan

. . . . . . . by

William Brighty Rands

. . . . .1823–1882

I wish I lived in a caravan,

With a horse to drive, like the pedlar man!

Where he comes from nobody knows,

Or where he goes to, but on he goes!

His caravan has windows, two,

And a chimney of tin, that the smoke comes through;

He has a wife, with a baby brown,

And they go riding from town to town!

"Chairs to mend and delf to sell!"

by Khaled Hosseini.

Well, what a read this was. I've never read a book quite like this.

It is set in Kabul, Afghanistan and is set around the wars raging out there for the last 30 years. There are two heroines in the book, both being introduced as children. Laila and Mariam.

Although there are horrors and atrocities written about on nearly every page, gut wrenching to read, it is none the less, a beautifully written book and a fabulous tale of how people overcome hardship and adversity.

Ok, i will start.

All you have to do is a choose a movie, video or dvd and say what you think of it.

I watched Be Kind Rewind.....not a very super duper film..but everyone in the house was in stitches. The idea is that there is an old fashioned video store, the owner goes away and nthe guy who takes over is stumped when another guy becomes magnetic and all the tapes are blanked The half sharps left in charge set about re-fiming the movies...it is funny..in a childish sort of way, ...

That's the name of Dawn French's autobiography. Actually, in her intro, she says it's more like a memoir than an autobiography (which is meant to run chronologically - and this doesn't).

Her's is written with each chapter like a letter to someone. Some chapters are called 'Dear dad', others 'Dear Len' etc etc.

It's very funny - with some bits managing to make me actually laugh out loud. One part especially where she describes what it's like to kiss certain people. Hilarious.
