FLAT OUT MOJOLESS.

Yup! I'm there again. 4 days I've been staring at papers and pics and getting nowhere.

I've got about 4 different sets of pics of Mia to scrap. I get one, I think I'll scrap it, I print it, I sit and look at it. I get more pics, think I'll scrap them instead, I print them, I sit and look and them......and again.

I've got some for my BOM too, and same problem.

Now, I'm sure it will fall into place, it always does - especially when I tell you I'm ...

I'm having a nightmare here.

I printed 2 large photo's, and not being able to decide which I liked best, I decided to use both. To do this, I have to turn my page into one with a big flap (didn't want to do a DLO). Anyway, I worked that out, covered bits with my papers and now.............completely stuck. It's just not working.

The pics are too large, so not enough space left to embellish or add a proper title or anything....I don't think I like the papers.....I've decided that ...

How do you usually start your LO's? With a pic I'm guessing.

You choose your pic, then your papers and go from there. Unless you're using a sketch and then that's your first port of call.

Well, you know I've been struggling lately so I started doing everything back to front to see where that got me.

I did start with a plan though. I draw sketches, but never actually use them, but this time...I had a plan.

When I'd got my plan all sorted, I chose my papers and found 3 plus ...

It bugs me when I want to buy say some prima flowers, they come in expensive packaging like pretty bottles in every shade imaginable and shapes, to get a good assortment of colour it costs the earth. Although at least they're in colour groups. I say pack 'em in griplocks all assorted, but would they lose their appeal? ...

I was reading the incidentals thread when I read about Lou and Bobs being mojoless right now, I thought I'd post here so we could discuss it more.

I Scrapped for 7 years and filled a fair few albums. It always bugged me that I still had photos in boxes and I wanted to see them in an album. Being a slow scrapper I knew I'd always be playing catchup.

What also bugged me was the albums being 12x12 are so bulky and heavy, I kind of regretted not scrapping 8.5x11 throughout as I could see that ...

I think I'm gonna give up this crafting lark. Especially scrapbooking. Why is it so hard sometimes?

I've printed a pic of Mia. Should be easy enough - red top, blue jeans. Do you think amongst my hundreds of sheets of paper, I could find any to go with the pic? Nope. No chance.

I search the net for inspiration on LO's, find a beauty to help me along but none of my papers or embellies reproduce anything similar.

Do you think that trying to scrap on a budget restricts what ...

Anyway I found some great ones by We R Memory Keepers in the US by Scrpbook.com, a pack of 25 for around $10, I added 2 packs then went to checkout. I couldn't get over the price of the shipping £39!

to do a LO and what do you find the hardest?

It always seems to be the papers with me. I started a LO at lunchtime, and I put it away at 10.30 tonight...nowhere near finished.

I got my pics printed and for probably the first time, actually had papers that perfectly matched colours in the pics. Usually, it takes me hours to even choose the papers. I've spent hours and hours moving 3 sheets of paper around. Cutting layers, moving them, removing them, putting them back and so on and ...

I scrap people. Only people. At the mo, mostly Mia I admit, but I do do other family members and I have a B.O.M. on the go.

Now, I know a lot of you do it, so forgive me as I know it's each to their own, but I can't see the point in scrapping pictures of flowers and stuff like that. (Mind you, before I started scrapping, I couldn't see the point of any ...
