Well, here is the damage that the storms have caused. Render has completely come away, and made a hole in the garage roof below.

Much more fell off in the night; when Jane was here yesterday the hole was about an eighth of this size! Thankfully the walls underneath are sound, but obviously we don't want them to get any wetter; this is the outside wall of my craft room!!!

The Woman in White

In front of my fireplace,

'Tis where I named my reading place,

Outside, from the sky, fell shining lace,

Which the blowing wind did chase.

"A gladiators tale" is what I read,

In my velvet robe of red.

Though sorrow I felt, it has to be said,

For now my loving wife is dead.

I put my book down with a sigh,

And asked myself the question "why?"

Research evidence suggests that sharing a bed is bad for sleep, he told the British Science Festival.

One study found that if one partner moved in his or her sleep there was a 50% chance of it disturbing ...

Ive just read Gravity by Tess Gerittson and it was about the space station and I got to wondering why you cant see it from here (maybe everyone else already knows about this?) and well, guess what - you can, but you have to know where to look.

If you go to the Nasa site and put in space station, you can get its trajectory/orbit etc from where you are (I did it from Toulouse) and it ...

Not sure which section this fits in but one of my friends is a great poet

THE LUNACY OF CAMPING-Lyn Rivers

It was a summer's evening;

The sky was grey and grumbling,

The gale-force winds came shrieking

And sent me tentward stumbling.

I tripped upon a guy-rope

And on my face I fell –

Was I on my holidays

Or practising for Hell?

The tent was smart and snazzy

With purple walls and roof

But I'd have been far more impressed

If it was waterproof.

It hadn't quite decided
